The breakthrough came in 1970 with the legendary Porsche 917. The first overall victory marked a turning point and established Porsche as a permanent force in the history of the race. In the years that followed, models such as the 956 and 962 dominated endurance racing, before the modern era was shaped by the 919 Hybrid and further victories.

Many races are decided during the day – Le Mans, however, is decided at night. Darkness, exhaustion, rain, and fatigue challenge both man and machine. It is precisely during these hours that Porsche vehicles repeatedly proved their reliability.
