Lamborghini sees his Asterion as a technology platform; the carmaker that belongs to Audi demonstrates its expertise in hybrid technology. The Asterion LPI 910-4 is a sporty two-seater, which made its debut at the Paris Motor Show in 2014. The study developed a total power of 669 kW / 910 hp from their propulsion system and uses according to the manufacturer an average of 4.1 liters per 100 kilometers. The duo of V10 combustion engine and electric drive is hanging in a monocoque made of carbon fiber with aluminum front and rear frames, surrounded by a lightweight body made of aluminum and carbon.
3.0 seconds from 0 to 100 to 4.1 liters
The 4-wheel drive system includes front wheels driven by electric motors and the Lamborghini Doppia Frizione (LDF) 7-speed dual clutch transmission. 3.0 seconds to accelerate the car from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour; driving in pure electric mode for 50 km is possible at a top speed of 125 kilometers per hour. Unfortunately the collectors will not get too much of the technical finesse of the " Lambo" . The 1:43 scale model is made from resin plastic, in which - as usual- doors and hoods remain closed. However, the sharp edges that the Lamborghini Centro Stile has instilled the Asterion, have been transferred perfectly by the team of LookSmart .
Our tip: Elektra-blue because of the cockpit
Only the color Elektra Blue is known from the study of Paris, available under item no LS441A, with the beautiful cockpit in the colors Bianco Celaeno (Ivory) and Attis Marrone (Brown); LookSmart offers the Asterion in scale 1:43 for 129,95 Euro each but also in the colors green Mantis (LS441E), Icarus-White (LS441C) Efesto Red (LS441D) and Nemesis-Black (LS441B). We are impressed by the classic design in front in combination with the ongoing modernization of lines in look and appearance exactly matching the original car - much better than the latest Audi R8 edition, which is probably one of the in-house competition of the Lamborghini Asterion.
