Stories that only life can tell: This includes that of Olaf Beckmann and his Manta B2 in a white, red, and yellow livery that seems to have more life than a cat.
Shortly before the 2022 Nürburgring 24 hour race, the unimaginable happened. The absolute crowd favorite with the foxtail burned completely due to a defective lithium-ion battery, and images of the devastating fire spread relentlessly throughout the motorsport world. The grief for the vehicle was immense.
Supported by friends, family, fans, and sponsors, the Manta was rebuilt thanks to Olaf Beckmann's tireless efforts and shined in new splendor for the 2023 season, more modern and powerful than before. With a two-liter four-cylinder engine producing 255 hp and weighing just 930 kilograms, Porsche brake cylinders, and a Mercedes radiator, the new, old Manta was more than ready for the 2023 24 hour race.
With starting number 121, the iconic car with the foxtail was ready in the Nürburgring paddock just in time for the 24 hour race and celebrated an emotional comeback. After the long race distance, the team crossed the finish line in 74th place overall. Unfortunately, Olaf Beckmann was no longer part of the cockpit crew even for this victory. Although he was entered and drove, he had to withdraw early due to circulatory problems so that the team could finish in the classification. An unforgettable story that makes this vehicle a legend.
With the famous foxtail on the antenna, authentic sponsor decals, and a detailed interior, the Manta from WERK83 is a must-have for all fans of the Green Hell.
