Bburago releases the Ferrari FXX-K Evo Hybrid in 1:18. The role model of the hypercar from Maranello comes to our shop in the red color expected for Ferrari. The super-Ferrari is the further development of the La Ferrari and relies in some respects on technology that is also used in Formula 1. However, if you are hoping for a road-legal car, you are wrong with the FXX-K Evo. There is also no current racing class in which the vehicle could be used when the hypercar appears. The few customers who were able to get hold of one of the limited vehicles buy a car that they can only drive on the closed racetrack for personal pleasure. For example on one of the 7-9 dates that Ferrari offers per year for exactly this purpose. The fact that the bonnet, doors and trunk can be opened at a model in scale 1:18 in this price range shows the good relationship between price and performance that Bburago combines with this model. In addition to the interior, which is true to the original, the engine compartment has also been recreated in detail by the label. The big brother of the LaFerrari, in which a V12 engine together with an electric motor generate over 1000 hp, is therefore a real eye-catcher in every showcase.
With the FXX-K derived from the LaFerrari, Ferrari already launched a weapon for the more select clientele. The FXX K, presented in Abu Dhabi in 2014, got its name from the Kinetic Energy Recovery System adopted from Formula 1, which works with energy from brake recovery and releases additional electrical energy at the push of a button. With the Evo version, Ferrari once again crowned the non street legal hypercar in 2017. Above all, improvements in the area of aerodynamics were made for the Evo version. Anyone who believes that a masterpiece of design and engineering has already been achieved on the test track in Fiorano with the LaFerrari, which later became the "stem cell donor" of the FXX-K, will love the FXX-K Evo Hybrid. In addition to the steering wheel that reminds on a Formula 1 car and an improved chassis, the FXX-K Evo Hybrid brings an additional 640 kilograms of contact pressure towards the asphalt compared to the LaFerrari at 200 kph. This impressive value is due to the experience from the long racing history of the Ferarri Design Center, which has given the hypercar a powerful rear spoiler in addition to various air intakes.
In addition to a 6.3 liter V12 with 860 hp, the sports car manufacturer from Maranello has also planted an electric motor into the FXX-K Evo Hybrid, which delivers a further 190 hp to the driving pleasure. Both together come to a system performance of 1050 hp. The 750Nm torque of the combustion engine is increased to 900 Nm by the electric motor. In order to be able to set all the driving dynamics options on the FXX-K Evo Hybrid yourself, you almost have to be an engineer. If you want to own the Bburago role model, which is limited to 40 copies, you have to dig deep into your pocket. Ferrari's price tag states a purchase price of around 2.5 million euros before taxes.
