With the Ford GT Heritage Edition, the US-American car manufacturer builds the bridge between 1966 and 2021. The newest version of the Ford GT with the name Heritage Edition was inspired by the first long distance victory of the original model at the 24 Hour race in Daytona 1966; a very successful ending for the test runf of the then new developed race car, which was built for the victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans 1966. This story has not only been told several times by the movie "Le Mans 66 - Ford v Ferrari", but also by the editorial team of ck-modelcars.de with regard to the modelcars, but it goes with the miniatures of the Ford GT in the look of the Heritage Edition now in the sequel. Greenlight recently put the models on a scale of 1:43 and built from diecast under item number 86192 on the market.

The new Heritage Edition of the Ford GT super sports car family is a tribute to the winners of the Daytona 24 Hour Continental from 1966, where Ford achieved the first 24 Hour endurance win of the company's history. The GT40 Mk. II were driven by the driver pairings Bruce McLaren and Chris Amon, Dan Gurney and Jerry Grant as well as Ken Miles and Lloyd Ruby; The last-mentioned duo with starting number 98. For Ken Miles in particular, it should be the beginning of an almost magical season, because the car he helped develop should actually win the legendary race on the Sarthe; even if not with him on the top spot on the winners' podium, which was due solely to one detail in the regulations, not his outstanding ability behind the wheel, which made him a legend himself. More about this in the article accessible via this link

Inspired by the white-black-red painting of the Ford GT40 Mk. II - race car from 1966, the new Ford GT Heritage Edition shows itself in frost white with high-contrast carbon fiber surfaces and asymmetrical accents in the color racing red. Ford graphics on the lower rear bumper as well as 20 inch big forged Heritage-light alloy wheels, combined with red painted Brembo Monoblock calipers round off the appearance. The car is powered by a twin-turbo V6 with 493 kW / 670 hp. Inside, the vehicle features black alcantara suede for the instrument panel and parts of the steering wheel, while red anodized paddles behind the steering wheel and red suede performance seats underline the elegant look. Details that Greenlight implemented perfectly in a scale 1:43. The engineers couldn't have made the impression better!
