The annual Young Driver Test took place on 15th December in Abu Dhabi. At this event the Formula 1 teams had the opportunity to test their new drivers.

The Haas F1 Team was represented by Mick Schumacher, who at that time was the newly crowned Formula 2 World Champion. On this test day, he was able to complete his first official laps in Formula 1, the top class of motor sports.
