On October 10, 2004, the Japanese Grand Prix took place in Suzuka. The race went over a distance of 53 laps (307.57 km).

Michael Schumacher was able to leave his opponents behind at the start from pole position and defend the lead. Even during the race, he always had the upper hand and finally crossed the finish line first. With his 13th victory out of 18 races, he secured the Formula 1 world championship title in 2004, his seventh title overall.
