Heartbeat finale on the Nordschleife: ROWE RACING brought BMW its 20th overall victory at the 48th ADAC TOTAL 24h race. 50 years after the success at the premiere in 1970, the Munich team prevailed for the first time since 2010 in a thrilling final at the "Eifel Marathon". After a nine and a half hour rain break in the night, ROWE RACING showed a masterpiece! The BMW # 99 made the right tactical decision with another rain shower just under two hours before the end of the race: After switching to wet tires, Nick Catsburg pushed past the leading Audi # 3 and then brought the team from St. Ingbert in Saarland to the first win despite the race to catch up by Christopher Haase across the finish line.

Due to the later season of the year, the Eifel showed its "cold shoulder" with a lot of rain. Because of the Corona regulations, only ten helpers per vehicle and only a few spectators were allowed to be live on site in the grandstands of the Grand Prix course. With 97 starters it was the second smallest field since 1976, but the action at the top and in some of them was exciting - tight decisions were made in the BMW Cup, Cayman Cup, V2T and V4.
