Once again, the world's biggest motor race ended with a dramatic finale: After a fog interruption lasting about two hours, the race was reopened 75 minutes before the end. Porsche finally celebrated its twelfth overall victory with a 26-second lead. It was the sixth success for Manthey Racing and the second for the Porsche 911 GT3 R. The two best Black Falcon Mercedes-AMG GT3s followed in second and third place. With fourth place, Aston Martin celebrated its best Nürburgring result ever. Last year's winners from Audi only finished sixth this time.
This book, of course, looks at the action at the front of the field of 147 starters. There were 29 lead changes, many more interesting duels and 13 hours of rain. But the salt in the soup at the 46th edition of the ADAC classic was of course the players within the 24 different classes. Here, too, there was screwing and fixing, changing and improvising, celebrating and crying. And there were plenty of position changes, especially in the classes of the BMW M235i Racing Cup and the Porsche Cayman Cup with their large number of participants. 
Even though the race was the centre of attention twice around the clock: The ADAC Zurich 24h weekend made the Hocheifel region shake for a whole week. Whether the new Ravenol Ferris wheel in the paddock, the fans with their creative ideas, the colourful and varied supporting programme such as the Adenauer Racing Day or the Falken Drift Show. Not to forget the supporting races from RCN, ADAC 24h-Classic, Audi Sport R8 LMS Cup to the current FIA World Championship WTCR.
