The FIA seem quite exhilarated on their Twitter account, because in 36 days, the new season of the World Endurance Championship starts. In the class S 3.0, started the a Ferrari at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1956, to which Tecnomodel has delivered a beautiful model car: The Ferrari 625LM Spyder Touring appears in 1:18 scale in the decoration of the car from Olivier Gendebien and Maurice Trintignant, who received third place in the overall standings. The Scuderia Ferrari has only built three models of the type 625LM. Tecnomodel, however, has 120 pieces in this variant. Exactly the right car to look back on, on the Throwback Thursday. The rims magically attract glances
The replicas of the alloy wheels are a magnet for the eyes: to have something this beautiful in the showcase should be the dream of every collector. The finely braced radiator grille is also an eye-catcher. Bodybuilder Touring built the three cars for the Scuderia Ferrari based on the 500TR and built a four-cylinder in-line engine with 2.5 liters and 165 kW / 225 hp. Of the three vehicles used in the 24th 24-hour race, only the prototype of our model came to the finish line: seven laps behind the victorious Jaguar D-Type, which completed 300 laps. It is known that the three cars were retrofitted and sold to the engine of the 500TR after the race attended by 250,000 spectators.
