The Nissan GT-R is a regular in our blog. Not only because cars of his predecessor skyline were produced since 1978, but because the sports car in its different generations through its assignments in the feature film series "The Fast and the Furious" came to particular popularity. However, the GT-R has only been offered as a stand-alone model since 2007: the model-maker label Triple 9 has now placed the latest version on the shelves of the specialist dealership in the 1:18 scale. Let's look at the details of the model car. First of all, the look of the orange and silver-colored miniatures perfectly match the appearance of their prototype. Doors and hoods unfortunately remain closed, but after all the GT-R is manufactured from diecast metal.

A look at the model

We already said it in the title: The Nissan GT-R may well be understood as a Japanese counter-design to the Porsche 911. This is shown by the range in which the power output of the engines moves: Around the 500 hp - today's GT-R has long since outgrown its children's shoes as a coupe of the mid-class cars Thunderbird or Datsun Skyline. The original version of the model presented here celebrated its premiere at the Tokyo Motor Show 2007. For the first time, the GT-R, like its predecessor, the Skyline GT-R (R34), was no longer an offshoot of the Skyline series. Nissan equipped the sports car with all-wheel drive and gave it with the turbochargers forced 3,8 liter six-cylinder a potent drive source. In the version of 2010 it reached with its 404 kW / 549 HP on the road 315 tip.

Later on the increase of the body rigidity and the reduction of the focus were further model management measures. In 2014 optical changes came to light: LED headlights with improved cornering illumination and the rear lights with four LED rings. We see this in the current version on the road as in the model in conjunction with reworked front. Triple 9 has adopted the details in a craftsmanship perfect way. In order to see what we mean, we recommend a look at the care with which the label has recreated the front apron: three-dimensional in the right proportions, the sporty and aggressive front of the Japanese, along with the chrome bars in the grill.

Mega: The details

The air inlet openings on the bonnet as well as the A-pillar are designed in black. The exterior mirror housings are formally reproduced correctly. The reproduction of the rear spoiler has become hammergeilil. The small replicas of the 10-spoke light-alloy rims give an overview of the elaborately reduced braking system. The seat, the center console and the faucet panel are the same as the model. Especially the model car in Katsura Orange and the inner space corresponding to the exterior color makes a high-quality impression. From our point of view, Triple 9 has delivered a great model car with the Nissan GT-R, which translates the power of its model, the power and dynamic accuracy into the 1:18 scale: The GT-R 3.8 liter today a V6 Bi- Turbo engine with 419 kW / 570 hp and the GT-R Nismo an equally large drive set with 441 kW / 600 hp under the hood.
