For the 2025 season, ck-modelcars is also strengthening the presence in the Nürburgring Long-distance Series. The Porsche Cayman of the driver trio will be competing in a complete livery by the model car manufacturer, and the brand WERK83 will also be prominently featured on the vehicle with logos. At selected races, fans can also purchase model cars from the ck-modelcars trailer in the paddock. Furthermore, ck-modelcars advertising banners in the pit lane and paddock rounded out the extensive presence.
ck-modelcars opened its own retail store, the CK Eifel Shop, in Adenau in 2023. The store celebrated its season opening this weekend and is now open again.
WERK83 model cars are also available at the legendary Döttinger Höhe gas station and in various shops on the Ringboulevard.
Christoph Krombach will compete in a full season of the Nürburgring Long-distance Series for the first time in 2025. Together with Richard Jodexnis and René Höber, the 2023 Porsche Endurance Challenge champion will drive a Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport in the Am classification of the Porsche Endurance Trophy Nürburgring Cup 3 class. The car is going to be used by W&S Motorsport. Having won all four ADAC GT4 Germany titles in 2024, a title in the GT4 European Series, and numerous victories on the Nürburgring Nordschleife, the Ofterdingen-based team is one of the most successful GT4 teams in the world.
The 2025 season of the ADAC Nürburgring Long-distance Series kicked off last Saturday with the 70th ADAC Westfalenfahrt, attracting significant spectator interest. With a total of 16 vehicles, including eight cars in the Am sub-class, the Cup 3 class was one of the largest classes in the long-established endurance series, meaning Krombach and his two teammates faced a strong field of competitors.
In qualifying early Saturday morning, the driver trio secured sixth place on the grid in the Am-classification of the Cup 3 class. Between qualifying and the race, rain began to fall in the Eifel region, turning the Nürburgring Nordschleife into a drying, slippery track in the opening laps. However, the driver trio in the #982 car completed a flawless race and steadily made progress. Ultimately, the drivers finished the race after four hours in third place in the Am-classification and sixth overall in the Cup 3 class, leaving Höber, Jodexnis, and Krombach behind some nominally faster cars.
"A strong start to the season. A new driver trio, a new team, a new racing series, and numerous fans at the track with fantastic weather. Third place in the PETN Am-classification, the first podium finish and valuable points in a fiercely competitive field. With a total of eight cars in the PETN Cup 3 Am-class, this is one of the most hotly contested classes in the entire NLS field," said Christoph Krombach. "Many thanks to the team for a perfectly prepared car and a strong team performance. Thanks also to Renè and Richard for their strong pace on the track. I'm looking forward to NLS 2 and hope we can build on our successful start."
The second round of the Nürburgring Endurance Series season, the ADAC Ruhrpott Trophy, will take place on April 26th.
