Points for the start of the season 2023: The Haas VF-23 for the living room

Points for the start of the season 2023: The Haas VF-23 for the living room

back to blog overview

The Formula 1-season 2023 should stand for a further rise in the constructors' championship for the Haas F1 team.

After finishing seventh last year, the American team, led by Günther Steiner, now wanted to take another step in the competitive midfield.

The team's first forward-looking decision was made after the end of the 2022 season. After two years together, Haas decided to replace Mick Schumacher with the experienced Nico Hülkenberg. The Dane Kevin Magnussen started at his side and remained in the team.

In the direct race duel, Hülkenberg was able to prevail against his teammate with 12:9 after the 21 stages of the season. In the end, Magnussen and Hülkenberg achieved fifth and seventh place as their best placement of the season.

At the start of the season in Bahrain, Nico Hülkenberg was able to draw attention to himself with a tenth place in qualifying. The German ended up in 15th place in the race. Teammate Kevin Magnussen started the season opener from 17th place on the grid and finished the Grand Prix in 13th position.

The second race of the season in Saudi Arabia should be much more positive for the Haas F1 Team. With starting positions eleven and thirteen, the two drivers had a good starting position in the fight for the points. Kevin Magnussen was able to make the leap into the points with a tenth place. Nico Hülkenberg ended up two places behind in twelfth position.

In collaboration with ck-modelcars, Minichamps has now produced limited models of the two Haas VF-23s from Saudi Arabia and Bahrain in the usual high quality. The duo is available exclusively in scale 1:18. Nico Hülkenberg's car from Bahrain is limited to 227 copies. The Haas from Kevin Magnussen from Saudi Arabia is limited to 150 pieces. Both models are delivered in a high-quality collector's folding box. In addition to the true-to-original cockpit replica with driver figure, the box board included in the delivery with the driver's name is a special highlight.
