The collection of these four extraordinary cars produced by Ixo was awarded “Model Car of the Year 2021” in the “Collect 1:18 Current” category by the specialist magazine “Modellfahrzeug”.
Many teams competed at the 24 Hours of Le mans 2019 with special designs. This also includes the factory call of Porsche in the GTE Pro-category. The two 911 RSR with the starting numbers 91 and 92 were adorned with golden stripes - instead of the red accents from the past. The reason was the premature brand world championship title for Porsche in the endurance world championship. The company from Zuffenhausen had already secured it at the previous WEC race in Spa-Francorchamps. Porsche thus triumphed in the so-called Super Season. At that time, the WEC season 2018/19 stretched over a year and a half and ended in June 2019 with the 24 Hours of Le Mans, to which Porsche was able to travel as the established world champion.
The factory cars with the numbers 93 and 94 had the legendary blue-red Brumos-Design. In this dress, Porsche already had competed at the 24 Hours of Daytona at the beginning of 2019. There, the Brumos-Team had won four times in the past.
In Le Mans, Porsche had to admit defeat to Ferrari by a narrow margin. The 911 with the starting number 91 with Richard Lietz, Gianmaria Bruni and Frédéric Makowiecki came second in front of the Brumos car with the 93 from Nick Tandy, Earl Bamber and Patrick Pilet. Their teammates Sven Müller, Mathieu Jaminet and Dennis Olsen in the 94 Porsche finished seventh, two places ahead of the RSR with the number 92 for Michael Christensen, Kévin Estre and Laurens Vanthoor.
All four models have the scale 1:18 and replicate their respective designs including the details true to the original.
