It almost seems like we are in a TV show: Just two days ago, we presented the models to the DTM-cars from Joel Eriksson and Marco Wittmann in this blog and now we can continue with the miniatures to Philipp Eng as well as Bruno Spengler - that's series. The BMW M4 coupé of the team RMR in the striking blue tone of the transmission manufacturer ZF with the starting number 25 is manufactured by Norev like all other cars of this type from diecast: Philipp Eng's M4 from the season 2019 appears under item number 80432466061. The racing driver from Austria was the second most successful driver after Marco Wittmann in a BMW and ended the previous year’s season with 144 points in sixth place in the overall standings: winner René Rast in an Audi scored 322 points. Eng's fans as well as those of Bruno Spengler will be happy about the well-made miniatures in format 1:18.

The 2019 DTM season will go down in motorsport history as the 33rd season of a DTM. From 1984 to 1996, experts understood this to mean the German Touring Car Championship, which worked with touring cars based on production bodies. In 2000 the DTM was re-established as the German Touring Car Masters, but technically it relies on sports car prototypes with attached touring car bodies, so-called silhouette vehicles. The 2019 season is now the 20th since the company was founded and began on May 3rd, 2019 in Hockenheim. It ended in the same place on October 6th and after 18 races on nine race weekends and two other races that were held in November together with the Japanese Super GT. The DTM is organized by the German Motor Sport Association and the ITR.

After this little excursion into history, let's take a look at the BMW M4 DTM as Philipp Eng and Bruno Spengler drove it in 2019. The fact that the racing cars used under the name M4 coupé are based on a standardized monocoque made of carbon-fiber-reinforced plastic CFRP, in which a 120-liter fuel tank is integrated, is something the fans see less than from the true-to-scale replica of the roll cage. The details of the front bumper, the replica of the headlights and splinters are outstanding. The appearance of the diecast modelcars corresponds perfectly to that of the role models; the lines of the attached body and its extreme flared fenders are precisely met. The rear spoiler and the rear diffuser impress with their dimensions. Painting and printing are perfect for both models!

The combination used for the first time in 2019 of four-cylinder with 2.0 liter displacement besides turbo charger, which provides 456 kW / 620 hp, can only be guessed with the modelcars: Doors and hoods of the miniatures from Vaulx-en-Vaulin, not far from Lyon, remain closed - this does not detract from their attractiveness! Just like the surface finish of the models of Philipp Eng's car, the black look of the BMW Bank, in which BMW Team RMG / Reinhold Motorsport GmbH brought the Canadian racing driver Bruno Spengler to the start, is also convincing. With 106 points, the 2012 DTM champion finished the season in ninth place. The modelcars of his BMW M4 DTM 2019 with the starting number 7 are available under item number 80432466059 and complete the starting field of what may be the penultimate season of the DTM in an attractive way.
