Porsche 911 II: Modelcars from Herpa with a new price

back to blog overview

The facelift to the model series 991 is a real hit with the fans: Closing gaps in the collection at low prices is made possible by miniatures in scale 1:43

Herpa has never delivered the first miniatures of a new nine-eleven; that was the domain of Minichamps for many years and model generations and is it again, as we know from the appearance of the Porsche 992. Herpa from Dietenhofen, however, produced the miniatures to the Porsche 991 II, which were presented at the IAA 2015, in scale 1:43 and advertising packaging from Stuttgart. At that time they appeared in four versions as coupe and convertible. We now can offer the Porsche 911 Carrera S coupe 2016 in silver with item number WAP0201280G as well as the miniatures of the Carrera coupe of the same model year in the elegant color graphit blue metallic under item number WAP0201160G for significantly reduced prices. Reason enough to draw your attention to these modelcars again.

Apparently in Dientenhofen the relevance of the order was known and the team put a lot of effort into it to transfer the legendary role models exactly into the most widespread worldwide collector's scale. Down to the new three-dimensional rear lights at the 991 II every details are right, the processing, look and appearance to the very last engraving of the diecast-body are just perfect. At that time, and at first glance, not much was new on the Porsche 911: a careful revision of the front apron with new, black plastic covers and a completely redesigned bonnet with vertical instead of transverse slats - these were the most important changes to the exterior. The changes under the sheet were much more important, because from now on every Porsche 911 was a turbo.

At that time, Porsche generally swiched the basis nine-eleven to turbocharger; there were innovations at the drive plant, suspension and interior. The technical changes, of course, stay hidden at the modelcars in 1:43 under the closed doos and hoods; the interior is perfectly replicated by Herpa. It is very difficult for mold makers to get the curves of a body. And also this question is superbly mastered by Herpa! Every corner and curve, every edge and the details of the line management of the front bumper are perfectly transferred into the scale 1:43. That also applies to the black covers at the air intakes for the break cooling as well as for the fit of the daytime running light bars. Our tip: Take the chance and add one of the affordable and great nine-eleven's to your collection!
