Automobiles of the rich in tradition sports car manufacturer Ferrari are basically a highly exclusive matter. This applies to the present, but especially to the past, because those who research into the early years of the company discover an enormous variety of types. Which is therefore highly exclusive, because there have always been only small editions of a vehicle pattern. This was also the case with the Ferrari 340 Berlinetta, a sports car family from 1951 to 1953 with powerful twelve-cylinder engines. From the offshoot 340 Berlinetta Mexico conceived for the motorsport developed in 1952 at the coachbuilder Vignale only four copies, which were intended for use in the Carrera Panamericana. They were given a longer wheelbase of 2,600 millimeters and produced 206 kW / 280 hp.

The model in detail: a great moment

CMR has made a very good role model choice with the Ferrari 340 Berlinetta Mexico and dedicated himself to the model as usual with much love. The appearance is perfectly in line with that of the sports car; the lines are especially inspiring in the area of the chrome grille on the front. Of course, the highlight of the model are the spoke rims, which at the time were secured with a central locking mechanism and which CMR masterfully transformed into a model. The filigree frames of the glazing as well as the instrumentation in the authentic interior are the highlights of the model car building. CMR does not use functional parts like the other Ferrari models, which does not harm the attractiveness of the 1:18 scale model made of high-quality resin.
