The Aachen model carmakers Minichamps are expanding their product group of high-quality miniatures made of resine plastic  and present the Bentley Continental GT Speed Convertible 2014  in 1:18 scale. The new model car already offers all the features of the Model year 2015, which Bentley has introduced in the past year. The limited edition of 999 pieces   is available under the article number 107 139 431 in the color Black Thunderbolt at a price of 239.95 Euro. The model features typical non opening doors and hoods which are typical for resine models, but a  detailed exquisitely elaborated interior. Especially the seats -the honeycomb replica of leather designs - as well as the instrument panel, the center console and the door trim are a perfect match in  form and appearance. Needless to say that the team  around Paul G. Lang and Romy, has taken the coloring of instruments and controls masterfully in the scale of 1:18.

Is Bentley building the exciting VW Phateon?

Even though  Bentley doesn't like to hear it, the Continental series is based on the  Volkswagen VW Phaeton luxury class built in the Transparent Factory in Dresden. The all-wheel drive, air suspension, the automatic transmission and the vehicle electrical system / electronics derived from the consolidated brother and operate under the name D platform. While the VW Phaeton is equal to Bentley in its quality after around 13 years of construction, it is the British subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group, however, reserves the right to bring the visually and technically exciting versions of the Phaeton to the road. Bentley has expanded the Continental series production of  2003 to the uprated version Continental GT Speed  in 2007 . The suffix Speed ??is based on the legendary Speed ??models of the early years. With the additional power the speed got a slightly modified chassis, different wheels and a 3-spoke sports steering wheel. In the beginning of 2011  the 2nd generation edition of the Continental series came out with a subtly revised look.

The Minichamps model  already meets the output of the model year 2015 because it bears the coloring of  the prototype as standard attachments and dark tinted rear lights of the GT V8S. Even the headlights are dimmed. Just like the prototype the Bentley Continental GT Speed ??Convertible has logos on headrests and dashboard. The power transmission will now be transmitted to all 4 wheels via eight-stage automatic. Since the hoods of the models remain closed there is nothing to see of the impressive strong W12 which is now making 467 kW / 635 hp. Minichamps has managed to give the model car 1:18 scale a high quality, which corresponds to both the brand of the model as well as the demand for models in this price range. We believe that this model goes very well with the models from Mercedes-Benz Brabus Rocket 800 or coming from the same home Brabus 700 Biturbo  and with these models you can put together an exceptionally delightful collection of supercars.
