The trade magazine "Modellfahrzeug" called on its readers to vote for their favorite models. ck-modelcars came first in several categories. Last but not least, the collaboration between company founder Christoph Krombach and tuner Sidney Hoffmann resulted in four awards.
The model of the RWB wide-body Porsche from the tuning giant from Dortmund took first place in the "Category K / Current 1:18" and three second places. In addition to second place in the innovation award, the car came in second place in the "WERK83 models in 1:12 scale" and in the "Supermodel of the Year". This means that ck-modelcars and model manufacturer WERK83 are continuing a long tradition of success.
"With these awards, we are continuing a successful series," explains ck-modelcars founder Christoph Krombach. "With their choice, the readers have once again shown us that we are on the right track. Many thanks to everyone who voted for us. This makes me and the whole team at ck-modelcars very proud.”
The model car guru is also proud of first place in the “Category J / Classic 1:18”. Another model that won there, the Audi 90 IMSA GTO from 1989, was the result of the successful collaboration with WERK83.
The Porsche 911 GT3 R, with which Thomas Preining won the 2022 DTM at the Norisring, in scale 1:43, was not only victorious on the racetrack, but also with readers. As an exclusive collaboration between Minichamps and ck-modelcars, first place was achieved in the “Category E / Large Series Current”.
“There is often a personal touch behind our models. I think that is exactly what collectors appreciate so much. A good example of this is Thomas Preining's winning car from the DTM. When he won at the Norisring, we were there. Much more: As a team partner of Team 75 Bernhard, we were part of the first Porsche victory in the DTM," explains Christoph Krombach.
Last but not least, there was another success in the historical range of ck-modelcars. With the model of Walter Röhrl's Opel Kadett C from the Safari Rally in Kenya in 1976, ck-modelcars, in collaboration with CMR, took first place in the "Category D / Classic 1:43".
All winning models in the reader's vote for "Model Vehicle of the Year" will continue to be available in the ck-modelcars shop.
