At the 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps 2019, the three mentioned factory drivers were able to drive the racing-911 in its traditional Gulf design, which was intended to be reminiscent of the Porsche 908, to Porsche's first overall victory in the Ardennes since 2010. In a rainy race with a six-hour night break, the three top drivers prevailed over their brand colleagues from Rowe Racing with a wafer-thin lead of just over three seconds.
In 2022, the trio in the GPX Martini Racing team was unable to repeat their success in Spa three years ago. The Porsche with starting number 221 retired after just that number of laps, namely 221 laps. The Martini design of the car once again paid homage, this time to the Porsche 917 with starting number 21, which won the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1971 with Gérard Larrousse and Vic Elford.
Despite the retirement from the 24 Hours of Spa, a Porsche 911 GT3 R was still at the top of the podium in a long-distance classic in 2022. At the 60th edition of the 24 Hours of Daytona, Matt Campbell from Australia, the Frenchman Mathieu Jaminet and the Brazilian Felipe Nasr drove the crowd favorite in the “lumberjack shirt” from Pfaff Motorsports confidently over the long race and secured victory in the GTD Pro. Class also 18th overall as the fastest Porsche.
