Last year, Ck-modelcars was able to take home one of the coveted “Model Car Oscars” for the first time and four times at that. This year, the company from Asslar went one better: The Hessians were nominated in seven categories and won with five models in six categories. In addition to the prizes in the individual categories, Ck-modelcars won the “Supermodel of the Year” award for the first time with the CMR label!
With the vote, Krombach literally had " Schwein gehabt "(German translated, had pig, Meaning was lucky). Because with the Porsche 911 RSR # 92 from the 24-hour race in Le Mans 2018, the choice fell on the racing car that competed with the historic pig design. The RSR is an exclusive model from the Ixo label, which was specially made for Ck-modelcars. In cooperation with Ck-modelcars, Ixo has produced a whole range of Porsche 911 RSR in 1:18 scale.
In addition to the main prize, CMR was able to win another five coveted prizes in the various categories. The Group 4 Porsche 911 SC from the San Remo Rally - driven by rally legend Walter Röhrl and co-driver Christian Geistdörfer - impressed in the “Large Series Classic”. In cooperation with Ck-modelcars, CMR produced a truly highly detailed model car.
The 1:43 scale Porsche 911 RSR 2019 won in the “current high-volume series” category. The series was made by Ixo for Ck-modelcars and shows the Porsche 911 RSR at the 24-hour race in Daytona with the start numbers 911 and 912. After the success in the "Brumos look" in the 1970s, Porsche reissued the design and gave the factory vehicles the same look for the 53rd edition.
In the M category (various scales), the Porsche 917 LH Le Mans 1971 Martini Racing Décor won the winner's prize. For lovers of the brands from Zuffenhausen and the long-distance classic in France, the 1:12 scale car is undoubtedly a must. Made in resin, the model will be available from 2022.
But not only racing vehicles, but also commercial vehicles from CMR were convincing. In category L, the No. 100 Mercedes O317 Porsche racing transporter CMR was chosen. But that's not all: CMR was also successful in the W category with this model and can be happy about the award for “Model Vehicle of the Year”.
Christoph Krombach was very happy: "Many thanks to all collectors who voted for our products," he said. “I am overwhelmed by the multitude of prizes. We seem to have hit the collector's nerve with our range of products. This provides an incentive for new projects that we will implement in 2022, among other things. We will also focus more on our own brand and the implementation of our own ideas in the upcoming year."
