Spark now brought out the matching miniatures of one of the two presentation vehicles, namely the one in black, grey and yellow design. The modelcars are delivered without any information on the limitation and are available under item number 5022000231 in the advertising model packaging that is typical for Audi. Audi sport had presented the R8 LMS GT2 in 2019 for a category that should experience its first full season in 2020. Thus, the brand's range by four models. However, a look under the bonnet: The strongest expansion stage of the V10-unit with 470 kW / 640 hp was designed free-sucking without an air flow limiter. Visually and acoustically, the Audi R8 LMS GT2 offers a unique fascination in the style of legendary sports cars of yesteryear. The GT2 concept is aimed at drivers who appreciate the high longitudinal dynamics of high-performance sports cars. According to Audi, this new type of racing car opens up its own fascination both in GT2 competitions and at track days.

And this, without competing with the current GT3 models in terms of lap times. "With this we create an offer specifically for gentleman-pilots that are the backbone of the GT-sport for decades", says Chris Reinke, head of Audi Sport customer racing: "Modern GT3-racing cars have increasingly developed into a class for professionals. With the Audi R8 LMS GT2 we now close this gab and have a tailor-made offer ready for this group of customers." At a price from 338,000 euros plus VAT., the new race car was positioned between the GT4- and GT3-models from Audi Sport. The production started at the end of 2019. They will be used, for example, in Audi Sport Customer racing Asia or on the The Thermal Club race track in California. It's good that the modelcars from Spark are a bit cheaper. In any case, they can be seen as eye-catchers.
