After the entry deadline, over 100 teams are signed up.
33 of them in the classes SP9, SP-Pro and SP-X, of which the cars are suitable for the overall victory. As mentioned in the beginning, in 2019 it was the Audi R8 LMS GT3 of the Audi Sport Team Phoenix that got the victory and will compete in almost the same constellation in 2020. Not only rainwater, but also rubber abrasion of the tires can effect the optics of a race car, which is racing 24 hours. The modelcars, which arose through the cooperation with the known label Spark, replicate this exact situation that is known in collectors' circles as dirty version. As usual with Spark, the body consists of the high quality polyurethan cast resin. A material that fits, because the add-on parts of the R8 LMS GT3's body are made of CFRP and aluminum in conjunction with a load-bearing steel roll cage.
The continuously numbered modelcars with the main colors green, blue and white stand out in every showcase because of their prototypical splitters, the numerous antennas and the impressive rear spoiler. Spark implemented the appearance and the line management of the 5.2 liter V10 with direct petrol injection Audi perfectly to the miniatures. The R8 LMS GT3, presented for the first time in 2015, has about 430 kW / 585 hp, which are ventilated via four valves per cylinder. While doors and hoods remain closed in this format, Spark did not forget to engrave the emergency exits in the roof. One note at the end: Anyone who should try to clean the dirt of the race of the dirty version of the model cannot claim a warranty if it goes wrong.
