What do movies and modelcars have in common? Both helps us through the corona crisis: The collecting of high quality miniatures distracts from the fears and restrictions of the current week, as does watching the feature movies and series. A special highlight for car fans and lovers of action cinemas we saw last Monday: (a German movie) In "Steig. Nicht.Aus!" ("Don't.Get.Out!") the actor Wotan Wilke Möhring was fighting for his life and the life of his two children. A blackmailer had placed a bomb under the seats of the Mercedes-Benz GLE. Stopping and getting out of it was not allowed. The circumstance that the mother thought her husband will kidnap the children, called the police on the plan. But more on that later: Before we want to present the modelcars of the Ford Falcon XB, which was also part of the movie.

Greenlight as a leading label in this segment is known among the collectors, which releases miniatures to vehicles of movies and series. Last week, for example, models to a converted Ford Falcon XB GT Coupe from the year 1973 have appeared. This vehicle was used by the policeman Max Rockatansky in the American action movie "Mad Max", which came to the cinemas in 1979 and is playing in the distant future from the end times. The miniatures are produced in scale 1:18 and from diecast are sold under the item number 13559. Greenlight has perfectly met the appearance of the role model and its details and thus created a miniature with the XB that radiate the same dynamic as the original from the movie, directed by George Miller. This may be due to the fact that Greenlight decided to replicat the dirty version.

The movie tells that Max Rockatansky steals this styled V8, upgraded to 440 kW / 598 hp, to take revenge for the murder of his wife and son. The policeman is played by the American actor Mel Gibson, who established his worldwide popularity as a result of this commitment and expanded and consolidated his action career in the role of police officer Martin Riggs in the "Lethal Weapon" cinema series. At the model of the Ford Falcon XB both doors can be opened. Greenlight offers the modelcars as part of its Hollywood-series in limited edition. The Mercedes-Benz GLE, driven by Wotan Wilke Möhring, in "Don't.Get.Out!" (German movie) is not as brute as the Ford Falcon XB, but the film still captivates with its breathtaking pace; exciting until the very last of the 103 minutes: Available until July 4th, 2020 free of charge in the ZDF media library (German TV channel).
