After the cancellation of the Formula 1 in Australia, we finished last week with the new edition of an impressive pick-up from Mercedes-Benz, the G 63 AMG 6x6 from Autoart, instead of the F1. In this category we are now starting the new week: GT-Spiritmodels presented us with the Ford Mustang Shelby F-150 Super Snake Sport of the 2019 vintage, both optically and technically excellently made modelcars in scale 1:18, their role models on the wave of currently roll popular pick-up tunes in the U.S. Ford house tuner Shelby devoted itself to the current version of the Ford F-150 and subjected the 13th generation of the F series, which had been built since 1948, to a revision of the sheet metal and the technology below. But: sheet metal is not quite right, because the production of the F-150 processes more aluminum than the whole European car industry combined!
The modelcars from GT-Spiritmodels however exist of the usual high quality polyurethane cast resin and come in the traditional blue from Shelby in an edition of 900 units. They exactly replicate the Ford Mustang Shelby F-150 Super Snake Sport, so they also offer us the changes Shelby has made to the basic pattern. For his $ 93,385 / € 84,400, the customer receives a four-door cabin and the short loading area with new lining and cover. A new bonnet with air scoop, the front bumper including a spoiler lip and a newly designed radiator grille complete the fresh-looking appearance of the tuned Mustang Shelby F-150 Super Snake Sport. The company GT-Spiritmodels has of course not forgotten the associated stripes and logos. And under the well-crafted outer skin?
An interior with carbon and leather invites you to get in, new instruments, pedals and floor mats await. There are badges with the serial numbers on the dashboard and on the engine: Shelby says it should be the end of 250 pieces. Speaking of the engine: the 5.0 liter V8 with compressor passes on 574 kW / 781 hp to the ten-speed automatic transmission. This means that it takes just 3.45 seconds to sprint to 96.6 kilometers per hour, i.e. 60 mph. This requires strong brakes, which GT-Spiritmodels reproduces accordingly with their slotted discs at the front and rear and the front six-piston calipers in line with the prototype. Also the proportions of the miniatures with the 22-inch alloy wheels and their 305/40 R22 tires are also right. All in all, this modelcar is a really powerful start into the week that we want to tackle with our wish: stay healthy!
