An SUV is exactly the right car for a weekend trip, especially in winter, we thought. And as a logical consequence of this consideration we present you the all new modelcars to the topic Mercedes-Benz as the last blog article of this week: Matching the introduction of this article, it is the new GLB, which offers up to seven seats and is located between the GLA and GLC. Z-Models is the manufacturer, who became the license for the reduction of the - internal called X 247 - model series and deliveres miniatures of diecast and in scale 1:18. First in the color mountain grew metallic, in which it is available under the item number B66960818. The models are matching exactly the lines and the design of its role model; with care, as the builders have proceeded with the execution of the details, inspires us straight away.
The Mercedes-Benz GLB celebrated its public premiere in its series version at the International Automobile Exhibition IAA in Frankfurt, 2019. The five-door vehicle reminds with its design on the bigger Mercedes-Benz GLS. The modelcars correspond perfectly to the appearance of the role models, especially at the front with the gentle curves and the true-to-scale reproduction of the grille and its surroundings. Under the bonnet of the role models there are only inline four-cylinder engines, of which all work with the support of a turbocharger. The petrol engines start with 120 kW / 163 hp with 1.4 liter displacement and front-wheel drive; the engine with 165 kW / 224 hp with 2.0 liters is optionally also available with all-wheel drive. It is shifted with a seven-speed or eight-speed dual clutch transmission.
The 2.0 liter diesel engine is available in three output levels: with 85 kW / 116 hp, 110 kW / 150 hp or with 140 kW / 190 hp; the medium version with either front or all-wheel drive. The eight-speed DCT is common to all diesels. The top speed of the cars ranges from 188 to 250 kilometers per hour. We leave out the AMG variant here, since the miniature from Z-Models does not reflect its appearance. In addition to the accuracy of fit of the two opening doors, the modelcars also offer a roof railing and an excellently processed glass roof. The printing on the inside of the front and rear windows is also of high quality. The dashboard shows the digital cockpit of the GLB very well; The replica of the seating system and interior door panels also meets the demands of spoiled collectors. Our conclusion: a successful start to the weekend!
