Z-Models, this brand celebrated its premiere mid 2019 in the market of modelcars. Who now believes that completely unknown newcomers so easily can replicate current Mercedes-Benz and these can also stuck them into factory packaging, is wrong. The label Z-Models comes from the French Josselin and wants to downsize cars to which no models have been published. In the case of the Mercedes-Benz CLA of the latest generation, the C 118, this is also successful, because of the new four-door coupe is no other version in this size on the market. The label, which is nothing less than a sister brand of GT-Spiritmodels and Ottomobile, started with the truck of the type Renault Magnum Phase 2 in the form of the trailer tractor from 2001 in the format 1:18 and the Citroën 2CV Charleston from 1978 in the size 1:12.

The Mercedes-Benz CLA C 118 made its debut in early 2019 and is based on the new A-Class with the designation W 177. The vehicle is available with four-cylinder diesel engines from 85 kW / 116 hp to 140 kW / 190 hp and petrol engines from 100 kW / 136 hp to 165 kW / 224 hp. Since this model does not reflect the AMG version, we take their engines out at this point. The yellow-painted modelcars with the item number B66960473 appear in the factory packaging from Stuttgart, the best connections for years to GT-Spirit and Ottomobile entertain: Again and again the brands release miniatures after their role models of Mercedes-Benz - but made of resin. Diecast is now the material of choice for Z-Models, but since there are only two doors to open out of four, the new Mercedes-Benz CLA does not yet fully exploit the benefits of die-cast zinc despite steerable front wheels.

It should be noted, however, that the lines of the model perfectly match those of the prototype. The model thus fulfills exactly the same high standard that we know from the design of the brands GT-Spirit and Ottomobile. The impeccable finish of the workmanship is also noticed by the collector when fitting the plastic parts such as the glazing and the radiator grille, the taillights, but also the separately mounted iron handles. The glass roof nestles craftsmanship first-class made in the environment of diecast. Given the good quality, it is not surprising that Z-Models has also secured the license to produce the miniatures for the new GLS-Class, the X 167, in 1:43. We are very pleased with the step the makers of GT-Spirit and Ottomobile have done with Z-Models, following their own great desire to build diecast models.
