René Rast is already determined as the champion before the final weekend of the DTM in Hockenheim: With 279 points, Rast celebrated his second title two races before the final and Audi won the manufacturers' championship. But the fight about the win in the prestige-weighted team rating is still open: The team Audi Sport Team Rosberg is on the pole-position with 394 points. But the team, for which Jamie Green is starting alongside Champion Rast, has serious challenges: Audi Sport Team Abt Sportsline, which starts with Nico Müller and Robin Frijns, is only 32 points behind in second place overall. With 86 points left to collect in the two final races, the outcome of the duel is completely open. The visit to Hockenheim is also worthwhile otherwise, as the Super GT cars make their debut in the DTM.
In the top class of the Japanese Super GT series drive cars that are technically very similar to this year's DTM cars. In the future, the regulations of both series will be aligned. The motorsport departments of Honda, Nissan and Lexus therefore send each a super-GT racer with top cast into the Motodrom. The most well-known is certainly Jenson Button, who won in 2018 on the side of his teammate Naoki Yamamoto in a Honda NSX GT immediately the driver's title. A show that we did not see in the DTM. For this purpose, the Formula 1 World Champion Emerson Fittipaldi and Nico Rosberg have announced their visit. The two-time World Rally Champion Walter Röhrl and Hans-Joachim Stuck - amongst other things sports car world champion from 1985 and DTM champion 1990 - will be part of the supporting program.
Final also for our external team
Of course, our CK trailer will respond to the modelcars of the current and historic DTM and other racing series and try with the last use of our sales team this season to offer an equally spectacular show, as it takes place on the track in the Motodrom. We look forward to see you!
