Loyal fans of our blog know that there was a premiere in last year's season of the ADAC GT Masters: CK became partner for the first time in motorsport. It was a great honor for us that this was the team of the two-time endurance world champion and Le Mans winner Timo Bernhard, because virtually bonding with the aristocracy of international motorsport and entering such a prestigious racing series, that has somethingt! We are accordingly proud to introduce the No. 17 and No. 18, which carry our logo on the fenders: The modelcars are exclusively available with us and replicate exactly the Porsche 911 GT3 R of the model series 991. They come from the production of Minichamps and correspond to the role model down to the last detail. The diecast models of the nine-eleven are strictly limited to 333 and 199 units.
If two names are inseparable from each other, than it is Porsche and Timo Bernhard: Two times - 2015 and 2017 - Bernhard won the FIA Endurance World Cup with Porsche in the LMP1 class. The connection to Porsche is also shown by the engagement of the KÜS Team75 Bernhard, whose owner is the racing driver, born on February 24th, 1981 in Homburg, who sat at the steering wheel in 2018: Bernhard shared the cockpit of his Porsche 911 GT3 R with Porsche factory driver colleague Kevin Estre, as Porsche retired from the LMP1 class after 19 wins at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. What provided the necessary time scope for the commitment of Timo Bernhard in his own team. By the way: It's the same Kevin Estre who convinced in the Grello-911 last weekend.
But back to the KÜS Team75 Bernhard: The team from Bruchmühlbach-Miesau emerged from the Rally Team75, which celebrated its debut in 2010 in rallying Germany and which moved to the Porsche Carrera Cup 2013. The 75 in the team name is reminiscent of the year when Timo Bernhard's father started his career in motorsport: Rüdiger Bernhard, with his experiences from hill climbs, rallies and slalom as a team leader, guarantees the development of the track record of his son's team, which he has from the beginning on his way to professional racing; Timo joined the Porsche Junior Team in 1999 and has not only won the big endurance races in Le Mans, Daytona and Sebring, but has also won the overall 24-Hour Race on the Nürburgring five times.
Great joy with the makers
With this reputation, it is understandable that the entire team of CK is pleased to be able to work together with the KÜS Team75 Bernhard in relation to the modelcars. Let's read, what Christoph Krombach comments on the new miniatures of the Porsche 911: "We are now pleased to be able to deliver last year's GT Masters vehicles from the KÜS Team75 Bernhard in scale 1:18. The vehicles are strictly limited and we hope to offer the growing number of fans of the ADAC GT Masters and collectors a nice complement in this area. The models come, matching to the Team-CI, in a customized packaging with a picture of the original in the background. Ideal for autograph hunters, but also a real eye-catcher!" Which is an elegant reference to the link to the modelcars at the end of the article.
"Modelcars in different scales are very popular among motorsport fans and sponsors. ck-modelcars excellently serves this market with a very wide range of choices and we are confident that through this partnership we will have the opportunity to implement several projects in the future. We were not only convinced by the professionalism of the team of ck-modelcars, but also by the great passion for motorsport, which is an important milestone in our partnership", so the words of Team Manager Klaus Graf at the beginning of the cooperation. The models of the racing cars of Timo Bernhard and Kevin Estre (item number 153186997, no. 17) as well as by Klaus Bachler and Adrian De Leener (153186918, no. 18) from the league of super sports cars fill us with pride and joy and causes a highlight in the showcases of the collectors.
