We already know that the motorsport is setteled at the top of the search after modelcars at the company Minichamps. With the Ford Escort RS 1800 from the 1970s, the team around Paul G. Lang has proven to be clever, because in the debut of the new modelcars quality we have never experienced something like this car. Ford-fans will be happy, because the models of the Escort are produced in colors of the different teams and offer a manageable possibility to build a non-escalating collective topic. We have met the modelcars of the sportscar from cologne at the toy fair this year for the first time; in the articles about this we have already expressly welcomed the decision to make models for this role model. The world does not just consist of Porsche.

The here presented modelcars show the sports version RS 1800, which is based on the two-door version of the sedan Ford Escort II, built from 1974 to 1980. The name Escort RS 1800 suggests that Minichamps has opted for the replica of the British version: In Germany, the top version was sold as RS 2000. The miniatures are made out of diecast and correspond to the replica of the spectacular auxiliary headlamps in front of the grille up to the mud flaps on the rear wheels in the typical Minichamps quality of the appearance of their role models.
