On January 3, 1969 the life of racing driver Michael Schumacher began. Born in Hürth, the German became the most successful Formula 1 pilot. The Ferrari Museum in Maranello is dedicating a special exhibition entitled "Michael 50" to the seven-time Formula One World Champion on the occasion of his 50th birthday. He has a special place in the history of Ferrari, which has been marked by the many records from Schumacher, winning five consecutive drivers' titles (2000-2004) in his time at Ferrari from 1996 to 2006, thus contributing to Scuderia's success over the past six years. The "Michael 50" exhibition is a collaboration with the Keep Fighting Foundation and also addresses Michael's influence on the development of GT vehicles.
The show opening is exactly on his birthday and wants to be understood as a celebration as well as a thank-you for the most successful driver who's known under the logo of the prancing horse, of all time. Of course, Michael Schumacher is also remembered here! We are curious about every lip movement from his environment, waiting eagerly and hope for new, good news about his medical rehabilitation after the ski accident in December 2013. Every day we are reminded by our work with the model cars to his active time: The miniatures of his famous cars are still strongly in demand. We still have some rare models in stock. Minichamps has recently rebuilt miniatures of the Benetton B194. We wish Michael Schumacher, his family and of course you, dear customers and readers, all the best for 2019 and say: #KeepFightingMichael!
