The cards have been reshuffled for the 2022 season, as the Nürburgring Endurance Series is starting its 46th season with a new points system. In terms of the champion team, however, everything remained the same: The Adrenalin Motorsport Team Alzner Automotive was at the top for the fifth time in a row. New, however, were the three drivers who delivered a perfect season with eight class wins in the BMW 330i in the VT2-R+4WD class: Daniel Zils, Sindre Setsaas and Oskar Sandberg celebrated their first Nordschleife Championship title together.

There was plenty of news in 2022: 12h Nürburgring, test runs of the new Porsche 911 GT3 (992) as well as the first race kilometres of the new BMW M4 GT4. In addition, the Porsche Endurance Trophy Nürburgring celebrated its premiere. With more than 25 cars on average, the two-part Cup class from Manthey-Racing was a great success.
