A look at the current ratings of the Formula 1 drivers' championship is enough to see that the Brit Lewis Hamilton has every chance to bring the World Cup  2015 to England in his company car Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula 1  team. Spark sets a special monument for  the world champion of 2014 with his model of the W05 hybrid with the  driver figurine and flag in its hand  in the scale of 1:18. The model car is made of  resine plastic that makes fewer demands on the mold and small series models and also makes them more  economic. And: The are realized faster. Competitors Minichamps announced a similar model in the same size die cast zinc for the 4th quarter of this year, the base model without flag is already in their program.

Entirely new forms for the W05

We have already announced the special version in our Breaking News from 04 June 2015 accessible via  link . To reduce the official Hamilton car of the year 2014,  called for new forms: the Mercedes F1 W05 Hybrid differs due to rule changes visually and technically significantly from its predecessor, the Mercedes F1 W04. The nose of the  F1 W05  by designer Aldo Costafalls for example, is much lower than that of the 2013 race car; Overall, the front rises to the level of suspension stronger than before. Another amendment relates to the exhaust system, because in the 2014 season there were only a central exhaust pipe, which ended above the taillight. In the design of the nose Aldo Costa went its own way, because it is wider than with many other competitors, but not enough to go over the front wing .

No engine, but many details

All of these changes were  implemented brilliantly by the  team at Spark around Hugo Ripert. Unfortunately there is nothing to be seen   from the engine and the fine technique that ultimately led the car  to the world title . The engine cover is not removable. It is  powered by the newly developed W05 F1 Mercedes-Benz PU106A Hybrid, a 1.6-liter V6 engine with a turbocharger. Also, the eight-speed transmission was developed by the factory team of Mercedes itself. The tires supplied by  Pirelli, the unit supplier for Formula 1. The magnesium wheels came from Advanti Racing. The model car is available under the item number 18S159 and costs  154,95 Euro. Lewis Hamilton won the final on 23 November 2014, on the Yas Island off Abu Dhabi, after 2008 the second world title of his career; the constructors' title went to the 65th FIA Formula 1 season for the first time since the start of this series to a German team.
