Even if it wasn't enough to win the world championship in 1972, team boss Ken Tyrrell could look back on 4 victories at the end of the year. In terms of points and victories, it was a good basis for a successful 1973: the drivers' world championship title for Jackie Stewart, 15 podium finishes and 5 victories (including 2 double victories) for the driver duo were convincing. The last race of the season was less successful, but very sad, as Francois Cevert was killed in an accident during practice. The second driver alongside Stewart was considered to be his successor as number 1 in the team. 

This set is intended to commemorate the driver combination Stewart/Cevert, who also enjoyed a close friendship off the race track. The race at the Nürburgring in 1973, which was broadcast live on television so that everyone could watch how the two Tyrrells were able to distance themselves from all competitors by 40 seconds, is unforgotten.
