Headquartered in France  model car label Ottomobile continues the series of miniatures on the topic Audi Sport Quattro S1. The Audi Sport Quattro S1 in the colors of the RAC Lombard Rally,  is another, limited to 1,500 copies, high-quality model of the S1 made of  resine plastic, its best known driver is  Walter Röhrl . The  1:18 scale model car with the popular HB advertising drives right into the showcases of collectors. It is available for 99.95 Euro under item no OT617 and corresponds exactly in appearance with the successful model that wrote motorsport history; particularly  the one that won the 1987 Pikes Peak Hill Climb: Built by Top Marques and detailed  in this blog presented in the  link  - with a driver figurine of Walter Röhrl.

RAC has been organising  rallies since 1932

The Audi Sport Quattro S1 was specially prepared for the legendary hillclimb; in the version of 1985, it carries the full regalia on the front  in  form of a headlamp battery like the Audi has worn for most rallies. The model also differs in appearance from the Pikes Peak mountain racer   by the design of the rear; Ottomobile retraces every detail perfectly that the creators of the Audi gave along for the  34th Lombard RAC Rally . They celebrated their graduation in Nottingham with the victory of a Lancia Delta S4, controlled by Henri Toivonen and Neil Wilson by the way. The RAC represents the Royal Automobile Club, that organized its  first rally in 1932 and still does until today . The next one  is the Wales Rally GB / Rally of Legends from  November 12th-15th  2015 , part of  the FIA World Rally Championship .

Laudable Details

We especially liked the grid used in the fenders of  the model of Audi from Ottomobile  , which provide plenty of ventilation for stressed brakes. The interior of the model car is reproduced extremely detailed, like  the video for this model car shows. The elongated splitter on the front fenders and the rangy drawn front apron - each item of this module has been highlighted by the mold makers and deserve our recognition. Like the fact that Audi Sport Quattro S1 can establish a beautiful new collection with more detailed models.
