The company of Christoph Krombach and its models will be nominated for awards in five categories in 2025. This includes two models of Tim Heinemann's DTM race car from the 2023 season. But that's not all: With the unique World Championship set featuring all seven World Championship cars of Formula 1 driver Lewis Hamilton, ck-modelcars has been nominated again for the Innovation Award.
Ahead of Lewis Hamilton's spectacular debut in a Ferrari, Minichamps and ck-modelcars dedicated a limited-edition set to the seven-time world champion, featuring all seven World Championship-winning cars from McLaren and Mercedes in scale 1:43 – all lovingly presented in a folding box with a helmet design. The 7-car set not only honors Hamilton's impressive achievements, but also showcases the technical development in Formula 1 over more than a decade with its meticulously crafted models.
This special set also didn't go unnoticed by the initiators of the "Model Car of the Year" reader poll, which is why it was nominated for Category V / Innovation Award.
There are also four other categories in which ck-modelcars has high hopes of winning an award with its product range. The Porsche 911 GT3 R, driven by Tim Heinemann in the 2023 DTM season, is nominated in two categories – both in the E / Current 1:43 category and in the K / Current 1:18 category.
The other potential award winners are two models with a rich motorsport history. Two detailed models from WERK83 are available to choose from: the BMW 325i Coupé E36 DTM Jägermeister #9 DTM 1993, driven by Armin Hahne (Category J / Classic 1:18), and the legendary Mazda 787B #55, the winning car of the 1991 24 Hours of Le Mans (Category N / Larger 1:24).
