In addition to our selection of modelcars and various accessories from this sector, helmets in different scales are also part of our range at ck-modelcars. Today we want to draw our attention to the helmets from the label Spark in scale 1:5. Our entire range of helmets is much larger, so there is definitely something for every type of collector.
One of these helmets is Lewis Hamilton's helmet, with which he became world champion in 2017. At that time Hamilton was able to secure the Formula 1 title early after the 18th race of the year. In the race in Mexico City, the Mercedes driver was able to pull away from his competitor Sebastian Vettel to such an extent that from there he was uncatchable for the rest of the season. For Hamilton it was the fourth world title after 2008, 2014 and 2015. His helmet is in the main colors gold and red and bears the original sponsors of the 1:1 model. The visor is also in a gold tone and mirrored.
The second helmet we chose for today's presentation is David Coulthard's helmet, which he wore in the season of 2005. At that time, the Scot was in the service of Red Bull, so the helmet also has this design. The advertising slogan "Gives you wings" and the logo of the shower manufacturer can also be seen on the helmet. The runner-up from 2001, who ended his Formula 1 career with Red Bull and then had an engagement in the DTM, achieved some fourth places in the 2005 season as the best results for Red Bull. He left his two teammates Christian Klien and Vitantonio Liuzzi far behind.
Helmet number three shines in eye-catching pink, blue and green tones, has a black visor and is equipped with unusually few sponsor logos. The lettering "Renault" is emblazoned on the visor and the name of the man who wore the helmet in the 2019 season is on the back of the head. We're talking about Daniel Ricciardo. 2019 was Ricciardo's first year at Renault. His teammate was Nico Hulkenberg. At the end of the season there was a ninth place with a total of 54 points.
Our fourth helmet belongs to the 2009 Formula 1 World Champion and thus to the Englishman Jenson Button. Spark's helmet is from the 2014 season and comes in a flashy pink. On the back of the head you can see, among other things, the British flag. Button formed a duo with newcomer Kevin Magnussen in Formula 1 at McLaren in 2014. This season, permanent start numbers were introduced in Formula 1. Button opted for the 22, with which the 2009 world title could be won. After a third place in the first race of the season, Button got off to a good start in 2014. Although this was to be his last podium finish of the season, Button ended the season in eighth place.
