back to blog overview

Eurospeedway instead of dune course is the topic of the coming weekend, when the league of the super sports cars goes into its penultimate round

And again and again the corona crisis: The ADAC GT Masters is guest at the Lausitzring on the next weekend of Ocobter 30th to November 1st. Brandenburg is the destination for the second time this season, because the race actually scheduled for Zandvoort cannot take place there due to the pandemic. So our friends from the KÜS Team75 Bernhard set out again for the Lausitz; Highly motivated, by the way: On the one hand there were two points results for the team from Landstuhl at the start of the season in the "League of Super Sports Cars"; including a podium that was just missed in fourth place. On the other hand, it is important to forget the disappointing weekend at the Red Bull Ring Both Porsche 911 GT3 R were prepared meticulously as usual, so here's the state of affairs before the penultimate round of the ADAC GT Masters from the point of view of KÜS Team75 Bernhard.

The car with starting number 17 with Porsche works driver Simona De Silvestro from Switzerland (32) and Ex-Porsche Junior Klaus Bachler (29) from Austria is back at the start: the Porsche 911 GT3 R made it not even to the start at the second race in Styria because of a technical defect. The sister car with starting number 18, driven by David Jahn (29) from Leipzig and Jannes Fittje (21) from Langenhain, provided a ray of hope on the otherwise disappointing weekend in Austria with a point placement. Together with the number 17, the duo should ensure a successful appearance at the Lausitzring. A total of 12 curves, i.e. five right and seven left bends, have to be negotiated counter-clockwise over a route length of 4.570 kilometers for the first time: The coming weekend will be a premiere of this route variation.

The two one-hour races are going to be broadcasted live on Saturday and Sunday each on 1:05 pm and as usual at Sport1 (German TV channel) in full length. Finally, let's hear team boss Timo Bernhard: “The Lausitzring instead of Zandvoort as the venue makes the task a little logistically easier for us, and the ADAC GT Masters responded well. There are many races in a row now, so it's not exactly easy for the crew. But the whole team is doing a really good job of getting the cars ready to our usual high standard in such a short time. Compliments to the entire team for pulling along so well. We know the Lausitzring well, so we were very competitive at the season opener. We will build on that." Good luck! That we also wish the fans of the bargain hunt in our autumn sale!
