Attentive readers of our blog know about the benefits, which polyurethan resine offers: Small series of modelcars only become economically viable through it, because it places less demand on mold makings than diecast. Thus, cars make it into the collector's showcases of modelcars that would otherwise have little chance of being implemented in the model. Now the Audi R8 of both generations has been sufficiently replicated from diecast zinc, but not in the version with the Dynamic Packages, the Aerokits 1 to 3. GT Spirit models dealt with this variant in the current series of the R8 super sports car and presents miniatures in 1:18 and aral blue crystal effect, which take up the additions or optimizations of aerodynamics: Can you give a super sports car even more sportiness? We look at the modelcars!
The current and also the last Audi R8 is built under the model designation 4S since 2015. The most striking distinguishing feature of the original generation: The divided side blades. Since the facelift from 2019, the R8 is powered by a V10 with 419 kW / 570 hp as well as 456 kW / 620 hp, which each deliver 560 Newtonmeters (Nm) or 580 Nm to the all-wheel-drive. The version with 397 kW / 540 PS has inspired the rear-wheel-drive version R8 RWD with 540 Nm since 11/2019. With the so-called Audi Sport performance parts for the exterior and chassis, customers can optimize their R8 coupe. Separately available parts for the interior give the two-door car an even sportier appearance. Audi Sport performance parts are available for all R8 coupes up from model year 2016; regardless of the selected drive. But at this point we only go into the most important version.
As mentioned at the beginning, there are three packages, but only the Aerokit 1 offers all components: And this kit is the role model for the modelcars of GT-Spiritmodels, on which all outer parts are reproduced: the geometry of front splitter and flics as well as the hanging geometry and the side end panels of the rear wing are included and inspired by the Audi R8 LMS GT4. The Aerokit Carbon Audi Sport in variant 1 consists of a front splitter, flics, side sill attachments with Audi Sport lettering, cW elements on the side of the rear bumper and rear diffuser and a striking rear wing in glossy carbon. GT-Spiritmodels implemented these details in the format 1:18 with first-class ; packages 2 and 3 are reduced in scope compared to Aerokit 1. They are great models that the French introduce to us under item number GT254!
