At the beginning of the week things really get going: Last week, BBR delivered modelcars to the Scuderia Ferrai, the last year's SF90 of the drivers Sebastian Vettel and Charles Leclerc. Attentive users of our shop will notice that the name of the team has been supplemented by the additions Missino Winnow. What this name is about, we want to explain at this point to the fans, who may no longer have the circumstances in mind. All fans can be told that the models with the starting numbers 5 and 16 are produced of diecast and not of resine as usual with BBR. Depending on the variant, they are limited to 60 to 100 units and available under the item numbers BBR191805ST and BBR191805STR (Vettel, yellow and red Pirelli) as well as BBR191816ST and BBR191816STR (Leclerc, yellow and red Pirelli).
The miniatures replicate the status of the Australian Grand Prix of Formula 1, 2019, at which Vettel and Leclerc each placed their SF90 in fourth and fifth place. Ferrari's 52nd Formula 1 car ended the season with 504 points, placing the Scuderia Scuderia Ferrari Mission Winnow team in second place in the constructors' championship. That brings us back to the naming mentioned at the beginning. At the Japanese Grand Prix in October 2019, the Mission Winnow logo made its comeback on the SF90 twelve months after its first presentation. The racing team also adapted its name to the official start list after it was last seen on the cars in Monaco in May. That is why the designation can also be found in the description of these modelcars, whose finish corresponds to the top quality used by BBR models.
The slogan of the tobacco company Philip Morris - external sign of the cooperation between the group and Ferrari - is controversial: At the start of the season 2019 in Australia, the logos disappeared because the authorities there initiated an investigation: it had to be clarified whether they constituted a violation of the tobacco advertising ban. The criticism drew further circles: Philip Morris was accused of subliminally promoting cigarettes, which has been prohibited in Formula 1 since 2006. Tommas di Giovanni, head of communication for the brand: "Mission Winnow does not advertise the products or product brands of our company. Rather, it should speak about our commitment to improve in everything we do." The group's goal is to get smokers to quit. Whether smoker or non-smoker: We wish you all a happy new week!
