Today's forecast deals with the coming weekend, at which our friends and partner from KÜS Team75 Berhard starts at the ADAC GT Masters on the Red Bull Ring in Austria. The scenically beautiful and challenging track in Styria has often been a good place for the team from the Palatinate Bruchmühlbach-Miesau in the past; even a victory was already out there. At the home race of former Porsche junior Klaus Bachler (27) - who, as usual, will drive the Porsche 911 GT3 R with the start number 17 together with the two-time long-distance world champion and Le Mans overall winner Timo Bernhard (38) - should now finally burst the knot after much bad luck on the first two GT Masters weekends. Will that succeed? What is the mood in the team?
In Spielberg the last race weekend in the Czech Most from mid-May is to be forgotten. The KÜS Team75 Bernhard also hopes for a good contribution to the team result for the sister car with start number 18 under Porsche Young Professional Matteo Cairoli (22) from Italy and Adrien De Leener (29) from Belgium. The Saturday race at the 4.318-kilometer Red Bull Ring near Spielberg in Austria will start at 14:45, the one-hour Sunday race at 13:05. Both runs to the league of supercars will be broadcast live in full length at Sport1 (German TV channel): A total of 31 supercars are going to compete on the fastest track of the year in the ADAC GT Masters. The supporting program includes the Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland, the ADAC TCR Germany, the ADAC Formula 4 and the ADAC GT4 Germany.
Let's hear team manager Klaus Graf on the upcoming weekend: "With much anticipation we drive to the races at the Red Bull Ring. The picturesque race track in Austria always offers great racing and with our Porsche 911 GT3 R we were always able to fight for top positions there. Our goal at the home race of our pilot Klaus Bachler is to shake off the bad luck of the first races and to complete a problem-free weekend with both cars because of the appointment on the pentecostal weekend, we expect a big crowd of spectators with a lot of support for our KÜS Team75 Bernhard! " So there is confidence: We keep our fingers crossed, because Patric Niederhauser and Kelvin van der Linde want to relegate after two victories as champions with the record winner Corvette.
