Almost Real is a relatively new label in the business of model cars and has published as such a catalog last year, to which we have already come to know miniatures after Bentley's example. In February, Almost Real presented its first models to the Bentley Continental GT3, but instead of Resine - as usual in motorsports model building - it was based on diecast / zinc die-casting. Almost Real now offers us miniatures for the brand-new Mercedes-Maybach on the basis of the current S-Class in the 1:43 scale, which were also made from Diecast and have done quite well. No wonder, Almost Real has yet produced the company Sums Model Inc., which also produces car models for Minichamps, Ebbro and Tecnomodel. But now expectations are aroused: so let's look at the new Maybach.

Opening doors and hoods are not available with the Maybach, which is initially available in iridium silver, but also obsidian Schwarzmetallic, which clearly shows the competition. What is striking is that the limitation of the models was set to 504 copies; so does Minichamps as well. With the products from Aachen, the Almost Real models are absolutely comparable: the detail sharpness on the elaborate grille, the fit of the built-in parts such as headlights and taillights, the glazing - everything fits perfectly. We must hardly point out that the model of the model is without any restriction coinciding with that of the model. Excellent made: The handlebar handles with chrome inlay, the moldings around the side windows. Bravo! The replicas of the polished light-alloy wheels are also a bang.

Details and shaping fit perfectly

The Maybach logo can be found as a photo-etching part on the wide C-pillar; the Mercedes star completes the appearance on the rear lid. The interior is handcrafted at the highest possible level in this format. We can recommend this label and its Mercedes-Maybach very enthusiastically and look forward to future miniatures to this label. Mercedes-Benz presented the Mercedes-Maybach S 600 for the first time in 2014. The world's quietest series of sedans in the world, according to the car maker, offers a further 20 centimeters more wheelbase than the long S-Class Class and is powered by a 390 kW / 530 hp V12 engine.
