The 24 Hours of Nürburgring is one of the most demanding endurance races in the world. Few other tracks present teams and drivers with comparable challenges over such a long distance. In this environment, the BMW M4 GT3 has established itself as a force to be reckoned with in recent years.
Minichamps has recreated three race entries from 2023 and 2024 in scale 1:43. All three models were produced exclusively for ck-modelcars and are strictly limited editions. The focus is initially on the BMW M4 GT3 with starting number 99 from 2023. Driven by Augusto Farfus, Philipp Eng, Connor De Phillippi, and Nick Yelloly, the car competed in the highly competitive GT3 field and impressed with its presence and performance on the Nordschleife. The model is limited to just 178 pieces and faithfully reproduces the distinctive ROWE livery.
The race was even more successful for the sister car, number 98. Driven by Marco Wittmann, Sheldon van der Linde, Dries Vanthoor, and Maxime Martin, the team secured second place overall. The model of this car is also produced exclusively for ck-modelcars and is limited to 222 pieces.
The following year, a BMW was again among the frontrunners. At the 2024 24-hour race, the BMW M4 GT3 of BMW M Team RMG, driven by Dan Harper, Max Hesse, and Charles Weerts, achieved a strong third place. This result underscores the team's consistency and the car's competitiveness over several seasons. The corresponding model is limited to 302 pieces and perfectly complements the series.
All three models impress with their precise rendering of the characteristic BMW design language and their respective original paint finishes. Despite their compact scale, the proportions are well-balanced, and details such as starting numbers, sponsor logos, and aerodynamic elements have been meticulously executed. The subtle differences between the individual vehicles and racing years become particularly apparent when compared side-by-side.
For collectors of modern GT3 cars and fans of Nürburgring endurance racing, these models offer an excellent opportunity to capture current motorsport history in a compact format – limited and exclusive.
