In the car with starting number 98, Philipp Eng, Marco Wittmann and Nick Yelloly were the first to cross the finish line after 537 laps.

For the team from St. Ingbert, the victory in the long-distance classic in the Ardennes was the crowning glory of a very successful season. After a double victory at the start of the GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup in Monza, the podium success in the NLS, second place in the 24-hour race at the Nürburgring and third place in the 1,000-kilometer race in Le Castellet, the triumph in Spa was the sixth podium success in a row.

The race weekend was not without its hurdles. The trio only started the race from position 26. A number of incidents and safety car phases repeatedly shuffled the field around. The BMW M4 GT3 held its ground in the leading group for long stretches before finally taking the lead in the final phase and holding it until the checkered flag fell.

Philipp Eng celebrated his third overall victory in Spa in 2023, while his teammates Marco Wittmann and Nick Yelloly were able to show off for the first time. BMW M recorded its 25th victory in the 75th edition of the race.

Overall, ROWE Racing is the most successful team in the 24h of Spa in the past decade. After the team celebrated the first victory in its history there in 2016 and also the maiden success in a 24-hour race for the BMW M6 GT3, the team took second place in 2018 and 2019. In 2020, ROWE Racing achieved its second victory with the Porsche 911 GT3 R, before again achieving the maiden triumph for the new BMW M4 GT3 in a 24-hour race in 2023.

Marco Wittmann: “I've been trying to win a 24-hour race for about ten years now. Now it's finally worked! It's an incredible feeling. A big compliment to the team and my fellow drivers. We had an extremely good package of driver, team and car, which gave me my longed-for first 24-hour victory.”

The model in scale 1:18 from Minichamps of the ROWE Racing BMW M4 GT3 has a true-to-original cockpit replica, a detailed engine compartment, steerable front wheels and opening hood, doors and trunk. It was produced exclusively for ck-modelcars in a limited edition of 222 copies and is delivered in a high-quality collector's folding box. The model also won the reader's choice of the trade magazine "Modellfahrzeug" for model car of the year.
