Farewell to America: Factory assignments by the company, based in Zuffenhausen are an integral part of the extensive motorsport commitment in North America. With the race in Sebring, however, Porsche ended the chapter and withdrew from the GTLM class.
Triumph at the end: It couldn't have gone better for the drivers. Nick Tandy, Frédéric Makowiecki and Earl Bamber secured victory in the Porsche 911 RSR with starting number 911 as well as the coveted Rolex watch. The sister vehicle (#912), which was driven by Laurens Vanthoor, Neel Jani and double starter Bamber, landed in second place.
Design with rarity: There was another reason why the two Porsche trios moved into the spotlight. The Zuffenhausen-based company gave the two RSR an impressive “Stars & Stripes” look that delighted the fans.
Appointment for the first time in autumn: It is not uncommon for drivers and teams to combine the race with a “spring break” stay on the beach in Florida. However, this was not possible this time because the organizers had to postpone the event from March to November due to the corona.
Perfectly staged by Spark: The modelcar manufacturer is known for its detailed implementation - this also applies to the models from Sebring. Spark dedicated both a scale 1:18 and a 1:43 version to the winning vehicle. Then there is the car of the runner-up. The vehicles made of resin are delivered in exclusive Porsche factory packaging.
