Attentive users of our Twitter and Instagram accounts as well as the Facebook channel already know it: Four very special Lamborghini Gallardo have found access to our portfolio, whose price would effect raising Commander Spock's eyebrows from the Enterprise spaceship. The futuristic design of the mid-engine sports car is also shown by the scale 1:18 modelcars: Their common role model is the Lamborghini Gallardo GT3 FL2 from the year 2013. Before our editorial staff puts this special specification into focus, let us briefly remind you that the Lamborghini Gallardo in its original version was presented at the Geneva Motor Show with additional parts and was developed as the entry-level model of the sports car label acquired by Audi in 1998 against the Ferrari 360.
The multi-award winning design of the Gallardo was created by the Belgian designer Luc Donckerwolke; a revised version came in 2008. Four years later - in 2012 - the front and rear were again adapted to the changed zeitgeist. In the meantime, Lamborghini launched several special models; Since 2005, the Gallardo GT3 has also been available as a variant for motorsport - as the name suggests, based on the regulations of the GT3 group of the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile FIA and developed by the German company Reiter Engineering. And that brings us to the modelcars presented here. The Lamborghini Gallardo GT3 FL2 from 2013 is a sharpened edition of the sports car by tuner Reiter Engineering and was based on the current production vehicle. Let's take a look at the special features.
The GT3 FL2 received, amongst other things, more power, more stable braking system and a better engine cooling. In addition a more efficient aerodynamics with changed front and rear spoiler as well as diffusor should provide a better road situation of the 5.0 liter V10. The weight was reduced by 25 kilograms because of the use of carbon: The extensive modifications were correctly transferred to the four models by Autoart - own spelling AUTOart. These come in attractive matt grey (81360) and sporty orange metallic (81357) as well as in blue (81359) and white (81358) to the collector. The diecast-miniatures in format 1:18 replicate the enormous front spoiler lip and rear spoiler exactly, meet the usual at Autoart line management of the role model perfectly and offer openable doors, too. A special offer of the rather rare species that lovers of sports cars from Sant'Agata Bolognese should not be missing under any circumstances.
