That CK put more emphasis on it, maintaining the relationship with its customers, to offer them something special again and again, this is not new. Today it is a car from the beginning of Michael Schumacher's career, for which CK dedicates a special miniature. It is about the Benetton Ford B192, with which he achieved  the fourth place in Monaco at the formula 1 Gran Prix in 1992. The modelcars of the Benetton in scale 1:18 are available under the item number 113920119 and limited to just 300 units. Of course, the models offer a true-to-original cockpit reproduction and a driver figure with hand raised in greeting. The decals for the completion are included at the diecast-model. Let's take a look at the miniatures and also shortly after what Shoemaker did in 1992.

1992, that was the second year of the 1969 born in Hürth, later seven times world champion in Formula 1; his first full season at Benetton with Martin Brundle as teammates and starring Nigel Mansell on Williams-Renault and Ayrton Senna on McLaren-Honda. After a fourth place in the race in South Africa followed by two third and a second place. The race in Monaco on May 31st, 1992 could have been different for Schumacher than for fourth place: In the duel for fourth place with Jean Alesi in the Ferrari, it came in the twelfth round to a collision in the Loews hairpin band, after the Frenchman had to retire a short time later. The modelcars of the Benetton B192, which are available exclusively at CK, are reminiscent of a moment whose outcome the fans of the Kerpener have certainly not forgotten.

The model, worthy of a champion

By the way, Schumacher started from sixth place. His already apparent potential was revealed at the end of the season: Schumacher won his first Grand Prix at the Belgian Grand Prix - with Spa Fancorchamps at the venue where he made his debut in the premier class of motorsport a year earlier finished in 1992 in third place overall. And with his 53 points, he was three points ahead of reigning champion Ayrton Senna. The world champion was Nigel Mansell with their 108th The now following success story up to seven titles carries the presented modelcar with its quality calculation: It convinces with a great finish and may be missing in any collection of cars by Michael Schumacher.
