The driver pairing announced by Abt at the start of the season certainly played a major role in this. Swiss driver Riccardo Feller is considered one of the DTM's up-and-coming drivers. He delivered a strong performance in 2024, impressing with his speed and consistency. The season was even more exciting for Kelvin van der Linde, who remained in the title fight until the final race weekend. In the end, he narrowly "only" managed to finish runner-up behind the victorious Mirko Bortolloti – an impressive result nonetheless, underscoring his class.
