THE FIRST ELECTRIC MOBILE IN THE WORLD!
n 1900 the company Jacob Lohner & Co from Vienna presented the electromobile "System Lohner-Porsche" at the world exhibition in Paris. The automobile, which was designed by Ferdinand Porsche, was the sensation at the Paris World Exhibition. Porsche gave this vehicle the name "Semper Vivius" (always alive). The world's first electric car was born. It was also registered with the patent office in Vienna as the "drive steering wheel with electric motor". Unfortunately, this automobile could not prevail against the internal combustion engines of other automobile manufacturers. A total of 78 vehicles were manufactured by the Lohner company in Vienna between 1900 and 1905.
