And it was also the Austrian who gave the manufacturer from Zuffenhausen their first victory in their young DTM history on the fourth race weekend at the Norisring.

The first race weekends were anything but smooth for Thomas Preining and his team around long-distance world champion Timo Bernhard. Two race weekends without points in Portimao and at the Lausitzring were followed by a first success with fourth place in the first race on the traditional track in Imola. 

But the KÜS Team75 Bernhard and Thomas Preining managed to take the upswing in Italy to the next stop of the DTM on the city circuit in Nuremberg. With a strong qualifying performance, he placed himself on the front row of the grid and celebrated the first Porsche-victory in DTM history in a chaotic race.

Preining described his success in the winner's interview as an "incredible day". "Even the qualifying was very good and in the race I missed twice on turn one, once by Kelvin van der Linde and then by René Rast," he recalls. "These are world-class drivers, so overtaking tastes that little bit better."

Inspired by this victory, Preining repeatedly demonstrated his skills at the following stations. After a double podium at Spa-Francorchamps, he celebrated his personal highlight of the season with a home win at the Red Bull Ring.

In honor of this historic success at the Norisring and the strong team performance during the whole season, Ixo has released the Norisring car in sacle 1:43 and 1:18. The model was manufactured in the usual high quality and reflects the original as well as possible.
